Formwork quantity estimation is the process of calculating the total contact surface area between concrete and formwork, measured in square metres, for every structural element in a project. Once you have the total contact area, you apply a wastage allowance and a reusability factor to determine how many plywood sheets or modular panels you need to procure or rent.
